NLASF.org

NLASF.org aims to promote awareness of social, political and cultural issues in Latin America and encourage open debate and discussion of issues affecting the continent.  NLASF is not about prescribing solutions for Latin America's problems, but follows the lead of the Latin American people and the society that they would like to build. NLASF is very much a learning group and welcomes the participation and contributions of the wider community in all its activities. NLASF is not affiliated with any one political party or president, but supports the mandate of the people.

• Support the people of Latin America in their struggle for human rights, social justice and equality.
• Support grassroots organisations in Latin America and the people's right to self-determination and freedom from foreign intervention.
• Expose  human rights violations in Latin America.
• Combat media bias and misrepresentation and provide accurate information of issues affecting Latin Americans.
• Promote solidarity between the people of Latin America and Norfolk.
• Support and promote the culture of Latin American people and resistance to foreign cultural imperialism.
• Provide an opportunity to discuss, debate and learn about social, political and cultural developments in Latin America and their significance for our own society culture and political perspectives in Britain.
• Promote and support other grass roots community development initiatives.
